Jackson Andrew Grant & Tyler: Happy 100th Birthday Grandma Dear!

My Grandma Dear turned 100 years old on September 1st! AMAZING!! She's quite the character! She's lived in Provo, Utah in the same house since she was 44 years old. Her beautiful brick house is nestled in between the Provo Temple, the Missionary Training Center, and Brigham Young University. My grandpa passed away 10 years ago and she's done remarkably well on her own these past few years.

My whole family traveled to Provo for her birthday party. It was so great to see cousins with their small kids and aunts and uncles!! It was a crazy fun bash!! (I actually overheard one of the caterers say, "This is the BEST 100-year-old-birthday-party I've been to!" Ha Ha) There was a lovely, formal reception in the Relief Society Room for her ward members and friends and there was a dance with DJ Mike in the Cultural Hall. A lot of fun dancing and lip-synching to "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. All the food was delicious!! It was the perfect way to celebrate when you're 100!!

My Immediate Family

It was so much fun being with my whole family. (We missed my sister Susie and her family. She delivered a baby boy on September 1st in Arizona. This is her 2nd child to be born on my Grandma Dear's birthday! Her 2-year-old was also born on September 1st and Susie named her Madelyn after my grandma.)

The party lasted well after all the kids were in bed asleep. We played Mafia until none of us could keep our eyes open! It was so good to be with my brothers and sisters!! Thanks to my aunt and uncle for hosting the late-nighter after the party left the church building.
