Innsbruck, Austria: A charismatic and picturesque city nestled in a valley of the majestic Alps of western Austria. Internationally renowned winter sports center, host to the Winter Olympics of 1964 and 1976, Innsbruck means "The Bridge Over the Inn."
Similar to Vienna and Salzburg, we used the "Innsbruck Card" and traversed the city by bus, train, tram, funicular, and foot! My favorite was walking along the cobblestone streets and crossing the bridge over the Inn River. Breathtaking!!

*Hungerburgbahn Funicular (A new hybrid funicular railway) We rode it to the top station, Hungerburg, and got off to take pictures. Fascinating enough, they have a zoo atop this mountain called Alpine Zoo! It hosts animals unique to the Alps! Simply amazing!!
