Phoenix's big news is that we finally have a children's museum! Yea! They remodeled the historic 1913 Monroe School Building in the heart of downtown for $22 million, and turned it into a children's museum. It opened in June, designed for children ages 1-10, with tons of interactive, hands-on learning experiences.
One of my favorite features is that at each learning center is a collection of picture books relating to the activity, so you can sit and read with you child about what they're doing!! FABULOUS!! Plus they have a 'Book Loft!'
Eric's work company hosted a family day at the museum, complete with a picnic luncheon, and we had a blast! Quite a few of the exhibits were still under construction when we were there, so we're excited to go back when they've completely finished it. We especially can't wait for 'The Climber,' a 3-story climbing structure!
